The Environmental Infrastructure Engineering Laboratory is affiliated to the Graduate School of Global Environmental Studies (GSGES) at Kyoto University.
There are two ways to become a master's student in this laboratory. One is to enter the Master's Program in Environmental Management of GSGES, and another is to enter the Department of Urban Management of the Graduate School of Engineering (GSE).
Each curriculum and environment have distinctive characteristics as described below. To join this laboratory as a doctoral student, you can choose the Doctoral Program in Environmental Management or in Global Environmental Studies of GSGES. Regardless of the graduate school they belong to, all students can attend events such as seminars together.
Chart of each graduate school
In GSGES, the environment is studied from a multidisciplinary perspective integrating both humanities and sciences. GSGES has a distinctive curriculum that includes English-centric classes, fieldwork, and a long-term internship. All classes are mainly held in Yoshida Campus.
The studies in GSE are related to science, technology, and engineering. All classes are mainly held in Katsura Campus.
This laboratory mainly studies the technologies to recycle various wastes to be used as geo-materials, remediation technologies for contaminated lands, and the infrastructure improvement with low environmental impact. Please jump to "Research" for more information.
We welcome all to visit our laboratory if you are interested in our work.
